Giants? Really?

I have been a Red Sox fan since 1967. There was no longer an NL team in New England as the Boston Braves had already relocated to Milwaukee. The Dodgers and the Giants used to be in New York, but had left NY in the '50's. The NY Metropolitans, or the Mets, were the only NL team within 200 miles. They were cellar dwellers in the early and mid-'60's and not much of an attraction. Somehow the San Francisco Giants became my NL team and now I find myself living in their backyard. I've actually been living in their back yard since 1988, hence my impetus for changing the name and adding the Giants to this blog. I hope you enjoy it.
